Portfolio Health is a smart visualization tool in ApeScreener that helps users quickly gauge the overall balance of their portfolio. It acts as a real-time health check, indicating whether a portfolio is well-diversified or overly concentrated, providing actionable insights for better risk management.
The Portfolio Health score is determined by three key sub-indicators:
Asset Class Diversification – Measures deviation from the target allocations defined by your investor profile.
Positions Diversification – Evaluates the maximum percentage a single position holds in your portfolio.
Derisked Status – Assesses whether the initial investment has been derisked, weighted based on position size relative to portfolio size.
Each investor profile (Degen, Moderate, Conservative) has an optimal distribution factor. The closer your portfolio aligns with these parameters, the higher your Portfolio Health score.
To set or update your investor profile, visit the Investor Profile Settings. Selecting the right profile ensures your Portfolio Health score accurately reflects your strategy and risk appetite.
ApeScreener categorizes portfolios into three predefined investor profiles, each with an optimal distribution:
Degen: Higher allocation to small-cap and mid-cap assets.
Moderate: Balanced distribution between blue-chip, mid-cap, and small-cap assets.
Conservative: Higher allocation to stable and blue-chip assets.

The scoring system evaluates how close your portfolio's allocations are to the optimal parameters of your selected investor profile. The further your allocations deviate, the lower your Portfolio Health score.
The Portfolio Health score is displayed as a rounded widget on the Portfolio Page within ApeScreener.
To optimize your score, consider:
Adjusting your asset distribution to better align with your investor profile.
Diversifying your positions to avoid overexposure to a single asset.
Implementing a derisking strategy for initial investments.
